Which coding agents does this work with?

Do I have to switch tools?
No. Autoplans holds the backlog; your agent stays where it is. Connect it to the hosted MCP endpoint with an API key and it can read and update tasks.
Whose AI subscription runs the work?
Yours, everywhere, once you add a key. The desktop app and the CLI connect directly to your Claude subscription, your GitHub Copilot token, and any Ollama models on your machine. Planning in the browser runs on the API key you add in settings — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or OpenRouter — with no cap on any plan, Free included. Only if you would rather not hold a key at all do you buy managed credits from us, and those are prepaid packs rather than part of a plan.
What does the planning agent actually produce?
A backlog of tasks and subtasks with priorities and dependencies. Everything is editable, and it syncs to a .autoplans folder in the repository if you want it in git.
Can I use this with private repositories?
Yes. GitHub integration works with public and private repositories. We do not store your code; it is read only while a plan or a pull request is being produced.
